How to Create Data Storage on D-LINK DSL-5300:

  1. First off, plug a USB into your router, which will work as data storage (If your router does not have a USB interface, you won't be able to do that).
  2. Now, sign in into D-LINK DSL-5300's admin page. Check how to Open Admin Page.
  3. Then go to Advanced and find USB Settings.
  4. Choose Sharing Access and in the Sharing Settings tick the FTP(via Internet) checkbox.
  5. Press on the Save button.
  6. Next, open Windows Explorer, enter the server address in the address bar and click Enter on your keyboard.
  7. Perfect! You sucessfully created data storage on D-LINK DSL-5300.
